A Kaleidoscope of English Movies

Now here is something to blow your mind away. If you love comic books, and you love comic book movies, 2010 is the year to look forward to. Not only is Marvel Studios releasing “Iron Man 2″ and “Thor” in the same year, but Warner Bros. has just announced that 2010 will also see the release of the long awaited “Green Lantern” movie (December 17th, 2010), as well as “Jonah Hex” (August 6, 2010) with Josh Brolin. Plus, as I have written in a dedicated article before, “Green Hornet”, will also be hitting theaters in 2010.

But wait, there’s more!Besides those five movies, 2010 will also see the release of Louis Letterrier’s remake of “Clash of the Titans”, which has been scheduled for March 2010. In addition let us obviously not forget Christopher Nolan, he’s got a new movie called “Inception” that’s also planned for a July 16, 2010 release. And there’s also Zack Snyder’s “Sucker Punch” (described as “Alice in Wonderland with machine guns”) which is headed to theaters October 8, 2010, a year earlier than the 2011 date Snyder had initially mentioned.

What does this all mean to you, the moviegoer? Well if you love genre movies, you’re gonna have your cake and eat it too in 2010. And if (and I am sure they will) “Green Lantern”, “Thor”, and “Iron Man 2″ do well, we’ll be seeing even more big-budget comic book movies in the future. So basically even if just one out of these does well we shall surely experience an avalanche of comic superheroes form the popular ones to the relatively unknown ones, after all who doesn’t want to make hay while the sun shines, just like the era of westerns or musicals, just that comic books are one genre we probably won’t get bored of that easily.
