Is Evil……..A State of Mind??(Top 5 Bad Guys)
The question why there is evil in existence is the same as why there is imperfection… But this is the real question we ought to ask: Is this imperfection the final truth, is evil absolute and ultimate?
Rabindranath Tagore
I too personally believe that no evil is absolute, what is evil for someone is heroism for others, take the example of global terrorism, a person known as a terrorist in one part of the world is known as a freedom fighter and a nationalist in another part of the world. Or take communism for example, it’s a crime being a Communist in certain parts of the world whereas it’s a crime not being one in certain others. There are world leaders, politicians, religious leaders, spiritualists and so on and so forth, who from time to time have been touted as pure evil by half the word and Gods by the other half. But there are certain deeds and certain people who are completely and purely evil by anybody’s perception, and my list of Hollywood’s Top 5 for today have some of the same kind of evil, though there might be some on the list, who are so bad that you just can’t help liking them, let’s see how many such examples you find on my list…………………………..
Darth Vader {Star Wars}:

W With the booming voice of James Earl Jones, a foreboding costume, a heavily magnified breathing, and last but not the least, the dark force heavily on his side Vader had everything going for him, making him one of the most sinister figures in cinematic history. Then again pure evil or just a case of being wrongly influenced??? You decide.
Alex DeLarge{Clockwork Orange}:

I I believe every human being comes on this earth, for a purpose, and if someone like Alex were to really exist, it would be to commit pure and unadulterated ‘Ultra Violence’, a term so perfectly coined just to describe the kind of extreme and sadistic violence that the character partakes in just for fun. What especially made Alex pure evil was the absolute lack of remorse.
Hannibal Lector{Silence of the Lambs}:

I I would like to argue that this man wasn’t as evil as he was made out to be, it’s just that his culinary preferences were slightly different from ours, but he more than made up for it with his charm, wit and sheer cerebral prowess. Can you really end up hating this man??? Nah.
Amon Goeth{Schindler’s List}:

O Once again if you haven’t watched ‘Schindler’s List’ please watch it, if not for Oscar Schindler or for Steven Spielberg , then certainly for Amon Goeth, if there is anyone who can give the character of ‘Alex’ from this list a run for his money, it’s this man. Sadism is a common trait of every evil man, and this man quite convincingly proved it, in that era there were some who joined the Nazis and slowly turned evil, and there were some who were pure evil and hence they joined the Nazis, Amon Goeth was certainly the latter, and to think this man really existed.
The Joker {The Dark Knight}:

I personally have always felt this role got so much recognition and acclaim for all the wrong reasons, it was more out of sympathy than anything else that the Joker has been discussed world over, which is really unfair, because the kind of layers and complexity that this character portrays is phenomenal, the Joker in the Dark Knight actually convinces you that he has come into existence just to dance the ballet of death with Batman. As he aptly says to Batman “I don’t want to kill you! What would I do without you? Go back to ripping off mob dealers? No, no, NO! No. You… you… complete me”, and in some sick twisted way it sounds more romantic than a Hallmark card. This is one guy who took to evil with a passion.

Very well written. Especially liked that bit about the Hallmark card.
